Worship

One of the unique and treasured aspects of our community of faith is the variety of worship opportunities that we offer on a weekly basis. We realize that every individual, for varied and valuable reasons, tends to prefer one style of worship to another. First Christian Church of North Kansas City celebrates the importance of more liturgical and traditional approaches to worship, but we also offer more contemporary and multi-media worship experiences as well.

From time to time we gather together as an entire community of faith to worship through tasteful combinations of these varied approaches, but our typical weekly worship schedule follows this format:

Sunday Traditional Worship
8:30-9:30

Sunday Praise and Worship Service
11:00-12:15

We also offer Sunday Study classes for all ages from 10:00-10:45 each week. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our evening Disciple Women’s Ministry group invites you to join Bible teacher Beth Moore’s Stepping Up…a journey through the Psalms of Ascent. We will explore Psalms 120 – 134 through small group discussion, DVD, and workbook lessons. We will meet at the church from 6:30 – 8:30 PM on Aug. 9 & 23, Sept. 13 & 27, Oct. 11 & 25, and Nov. 8. Our SIGNATURE Ministry is our free lunch program. Every Wednesday we serve hot dogs, chips and a drink to nearly 1100 students from North Kansas City High School. Of course all ages are welcome. For more info, click here... To date, we have served more than 100,000 hot dogs.

The Northland Assistance Center, located in our building, represents the combined effort of almost 20 Northland churches to extend a helping hand to those in need of financial or food assistance. For more info, click here...
