At First Christian Church of North Kansas City we always speak of giving in terms of opportunity, as opposed to obligation. God has blessed each one of us with gifts of time, talent and treasure and each is important to the work that he seeks to do in and through us.

Unlike many congregations, the finances of our church are an open book. In other words, any member, at any time, can request a report of exactly how we are spending the resources that have been entrusted to us by you. Upon request, or by simply attending one of our monthly Board meetings, you can discover exactly how much money our church is donating to outreach missions around the world and in our own community (which is a lot considering a church of our size), you can view salaries of our ministerial staff and also get a basic idea of what it takes to perpetuate the missions and ministries of our church.

Scripture is very clear that tithing, means giving back to God 10% of what he has given to us. The Hebrew word for tithe literally means 1/10. We also realize and acknowledge, however, that many Christians have not been effectively informed and educated about this basic principal. As such, we encourage all believers to begin their giving where they find themselves in their own spiritual journey. Please note that the minister and the general church membership will never have access to your donation activities.
